Offline Gear Train Puzzle

RatioGear Forge

Repair clock orders by placing Drive, Stage A, Stage B, and Output gears until the mechanism lands inside its target RPM tolerance.

RatioGear Forge is a single-player iPhone puzzle about gear ratios. Each stage gives a base speed, a target RPM, and a bench of 16T, 24T, and 32T gears in Brass, Copper, Bluesteel, and Ruby finishes. Choose carefully: three missed tests jam the mechanism.

Place 16T, 24T, and 32T Brass, Copper, Bluesteel, and Ruby gears to land inside the target tolerance.

Features

Four-slot mechanisms

Every repair uses Drive, Stage A, Stage B, and Output slots, so each placement changes the full gear train.

RPM ratio puzzle

The output uses Base RPM multiplied by Drive/Stage A and Stage B/Output, then rounds to a 5 RPM step.

Readable gear facts

Gear labels show 16T, 24T, or 32T plus Brass, Copper, Bluesteel, or Ruby, matching the visible gear colors.

Target tolerance

Clear an order by landing Current RPM within the stage tolerance, starting around plus or minus 10 RPM and tightening later.

Three-miss pressure

Each wrong full train adds a Miss; after three misses, the mechanism jams and the order must be retried.

50 local orders

Orders are arranged across four pages, unlock one by one, and stay saved locally on the device.

About RatioGear Forge

RatioGear Forge turns watch repair into a compact gear-ratio puzzle. Tap a gear from the bench, place it into one of the four mechanism slots, and test whether the resulting output speed matches the target RPM.

The game is offline, private, and built for short repair sessions. Progress, unlocked orders, and settings stay on device only.
